Please welcome Malorie Cross, DNP, MHA, BSN, RN, Woods Services’ new Director of Nursing.
“It is an honor to join this exceptional team,” she says. “I am eager to get to know each of the residents, families, and staff here as I make my transition into this role. Throughout my 12-year nursing career, I have been inspired by the dedication and compassion of nursing professionals, and I am excited to contribute to the incredible work being done here.”
Dr. Cross has a passion for continuing education and has taught nursing students at the LPN and RN levels. “I hope to bring my experience in education and management of clinical programs here to Woods so that our nurses can be exposed to opportunities to perfect their clinical practice that will in turn ensure our clients are receiving the best care possible,” she says.
“My main objectives coming into this position are to strengthen the nursing department and employ more professionals who are dedicated to the work being done with our clients so that the program can continue to grow and flourish.”
She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Primary Mental Health degree with a specialty in Psychiatric Nursing at Regis College, a Masters Healthcare Administration from Louisiana State University, and a Bachelor of Science Nursing from American Sentinel University.
